![]() Downtown Phoenix is pulsing with fine and fun dining and Chase Stadium. I suggest four nights specifically in old town Scottsdale, which is full of fun and dining, and three nights in, pointedly, downtown Phoenix. When deciding where to stay in Arizona between Scottsdale and Phoenix, the answer is both. With a little refreshing and attention to detail on the room housekeeping, this property could be even better!… The issues were minor and the location and chill vibe made for a nice stay. If you need quiet, book a room on the side of the building away from Eden and the pool. It didn’t bother me since it was only for one night during my stay. On Friday and Saturday nights, the DJ is pumping out the dance music until at least midnight, and it was quite noticeable in my 6th floor room directly above the venue. Advice: Hotel is in a great location and everything including the sports venues and convention center are close by and easily walkable, even in blistering heat! The Eden rooftop bar is actually on the third floor and the hotel rises above this. Lots of nearby options, so not that big of a deal. This is one of the few occasions where I did not eat a meal on property. On another, it was closed for a private event. On one occasion they were closing early because it was a slow evening. I found the venues in the hotel to be prohibitively expensive, and I live in a big city with costly venues! I tried visiting the Eden rooftop venue on three occasions and was not able to use it on two of them. Restaurants: Traveling solo for business, I usually like a casual pub vibe where I can eat at the bar. I don’t look for this stuff to nit pick, it was really obvious. Lots of dust accumulated around base of bed and bedside lamps where you need to plug in your chargers. Cleanliness of room could have been a notch better. To be fair, I didn’t even know they were there until the end of my stay, so they may have been able to repair them if I reported it earlier. Some of the furniture is showing it’s age. In a hot dry climate, hydration is key and the ability to keep some cool drinks in the room would be nice. There is one, but it is filled for the mini-bar. No in room coffee, usb ports for charging, or small fridge for drinks. ![]() Areas that could be improved: The room lacks some basic amenities that are normally found at a hotel of this caliber. The evening complimentary wine happy hour in the lobby was great! Nice pool and Eden rooftop venue. Coffee and cool drinks in the lobby was appreciated. Arrangement with gym next door was great. Great location at Cityscape, which seemed to be the happening downtown place. See Advice section below regarding outside nightclub music. The room was quiet with respect to noise from surrounding rooms. Bathroom was excellent (and clean) and bed was comfortable. They check in with you by text, which was appreciated. The staff were professional and courteous. Positives: Overall property has a nice chill vibe and the public areas were well maintained. I stayed solo for a business conference at the convention center.
